Timeform View

FLYING MOONLIGHT not for the first time this season suggested a mark of 50 is well within his grasp when a close third over 1m at Ayr 4 weeks ago and with this track more suitable than when last tried over this trip, he's worth siding with to prove as much here. Easy Redcar winner Kartini looks a big danger under a penalty with Irish raider Grey Fable and Naturalia others fancied to be thereabouts.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Kartini traded at a high of 10.50 and Betfair SP of 9.62 when winning last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear.

Timeform Comments

Naturalia
Strong-travelling sort who deservedly opened her account for the season at Ayr (1¼m) in August and she comes here having again made the frame when third of 18 in handicap at Doncaster 12 days ago. Can make her presence felt again back up in trip.
Kartini (IRE)
Fair maiden for Oliver Cole last year who had fallen to a career-low mark and posted best effort for present yard when taking 14-runner heavy ground handicap at Redcar (heavy) 9 days ago, by 3½ lengths from reopposing Dandy's Angel. Unexposed at this longer trip and definite claims under a penalty.
Grey Fable (IRE)
Capitalised on a reduced mark at Dundalk in May and ran creditably when making the frame in handicaps at Chester/Beverley this summer. Best not judged too harshly on his down the field effort over hurdles latest and type to give his running back on the level.
Battosai (IRE)
Still a maiden and plenty to prove stepping back up significantly in trip having finished well beaten all 3 starts upon joining present yard. Blinkers back on and has been gelded.
Kinross Claret (IRE)
Still very lightly raced but shaped better than the distance beaten suggests when seventh of 22 in handicap at Doncaster (1m) on return in March. However, absent a further 7 months prior to finishing well held over 1¼m back there 12 days ago. This will reveal more upped in trip.
Miss Veronika
No better than mid-division in 2 bumpers. Only a modicum of promise on first of 3 starts in novice/maidens on Flat but can't have been herself when tailed off upped to this trip for handicap debut at Southwell 11 days ago. Eased 3 lb and this promises to reveal more.
Cougar (JPN)
Back-to-back winner last autumn for Iain Jardine, including over C&D but well below his best this season for 3 different yards. Refitting of blinkers needs to have positive effect here.
Dandy's Angel (IRE)
Quickly bounced back when chasing home Kartini at Redcar on her penultimate start and produced another respectable effort after just 2 days off when fifth at Nottingham (1¼m) last week. Losing run now stands at 19 but she's a live each-way candidate.
Flying Moonlight (IRE)
Shaping up well in handicaps, posting another solid effort when third at Ayr (1m, heavy) 4 weeks ago. Seemed stretched on previous try at this trip but that came on the stiff track at Hamilton (soft) and this course will play to his strengths in that regard. Interesting with cheekpieces fitted.
Parole Officer
Remains winless and he's found brief run of good form coming to a halt of late, rather laboured when 13¼ lengths fifth of 14 to Kartini in handicap at Redcar (1¼m, heavy, 11/1) 9 days ago. Goes up in trip with blinkers back on.
Galistra (FR)
Has little worthwhile form in 8 starts to date and she doesn't look one to be interested in.
