Timeform View

Jim Goldie holds a strong hand here with AIGHEAR and Storm On Jura both arriving in top form, the former shading preference in search of a quick-fire hat-trick. Charlie Darling and Ned Broy are others making appeal, whilst last year's easy winner Quercus Robur would also enter the reckoning if ready to roll after 7 months off.

Timeform Comments

Ned Broy (IRE)
Gained a deserved first success when defeating a next-time-out winner over 2m at Newcastle in July and shaped as if he'd step up on his first start for 11 weeks when third behind Storm On Jura over C&D 23 days ago. Likely still figures on a handy mark and respected.
Quercus Robur
Successful 3 times on Flat last season, including when bolting up in this race by 9 lengths. Showed some promise on 2 of his 3 starts over hurdles and he's a player provided a subsequent 7-month absence doesn't catch him out.
Rich Belief
Winner of a claiming hurdle at Wexford in May and placed 3 times under both codes since, latterly in Flat handicap at Clonmel (17f) in September. However, not in same form either start since, looking a shade awkward when eighth at Dundalk 7 days ago. Steps back significantly in trip here.
Aighear
Comes good at this time of the year and had little trouble following up her 15f success at Ayr when posting a career best under a penalty in 5-runner handicap back there (13f) 4 weeks ago. 6 lb rise shouldn't prevent a bold bid to land the hat-trick.
Queen Roslyn
Had a productive 2025, registering 3 victories on Flat and one over hurdles and career best when second from this mark at York (2m) in July. Struggled to land a blow in muddling affair at Southwell 13 days ago but return to this trip looks firmly in her favour now.
Charlie Darling (FR)
Bagged a pair of 2m handicaps at Southwell (2m) in the spring. Rather in and out since but showed benefit of recent run and looked unlucky not to finish closer when fifth at Southwell (1¾m) 6 days ago and he's one to be interested in, particularly back up in trip.
Bollin Neil
Veteran who registered another 3 victories at Catterick during 2025 but has found things tougher this season and others arrive with more pressing claims despite sliding mark.
Storm On Jura
Twice runner-up prior to getting off the mark in 8-runner C&D handicap 23 days ago, by 4 lengths from reopposing Galahad Threepwood. Remains totally unexposed granted this sort of test and another bold bid likely on the cards.
Sugarpiehoneybunch (IRE)
Below form on first 2 starts this season but benefited from the step back up in trip when scoring by 13 lengths at Catterick (2m) in July. 5 lb rise enough to prevent the follow up when sixth over same C&D in September and this looks an even sterner assignment.
Neddies Boy (IRE)
Fair winner on all-weather in Ireland. Very low-key start for present yard but minus any headgear, he took a step back in right direction on first try at this trip when running on second at Catterick 5 weeks ago. Now his task is to build on that.
Nothingbutadream (IRE)
Irish raider who has offered little all 5 starts in maidens. Tackles a much longer trip now attentions switch to handicaps but only significant support would make him of interest.
Galahad Threepwood
Had struggled for form since returning from 14-month absence but got back on track of late, finding only reopposing Storm On Jura too strong in a C&D handicap 23 days ago. Each-way claims in present groove.
