Timeform View

Sent off favourite returning over fences, ONEFORTHEDITCH was undone by an awkward landing 2 out when finishing mid-field at Galway a month ago, so she is well worth another chance off her significantly lower chase mark. She gets the vote ahead of Courtbrack Boy who made an encouraging chasing debut, while Stily could also be in the mix.

Timeform Comments

Party President (IRE)
Won first 2 starts in handicap hurdles in spring 2025. Similar form when runner-up at Roscommon on second chase start in June but hasn't kicked on since (including over hurdles), making first run since leaving A. D. Leahy when well beaten at Killarney a month ago.
Courtbrack Boy (IRE)
Off the mark in good style over hurdles when making all in handicap at this venue in February. Matched that form at the first attempt over fences when second in 10-runner handicap at Tramore in April, the winner scoring again next time. Can make a bold bid on return.
Regards To Rose (IRE)
Winning pointer and gained a first Rules success in 17-runner handicap hurdle at Listowel in autumn last year. Has gradually been working her way back to form this season, not discredited when fifth of 16 at Killarney last time. Makes chasing debut.
Aleish Lass (IRE)
Fair winning hurdler who, after 7 months off, showed encouragement on second chase start when fifth of 16 in handicap at Thurles (2¾m) in February. Possibly unsuited by heavy ground when pulled up at Limerick (23f) next time. Drops back in trip on return.
Dontcavein (IRE)
Maiden hurdler who stepped forward from his chasing debut effort when third past the post (promoted to second) in 13-runner handicap at Galway (2¼m) 11 days ago. Could still have more to offer over fences.
Onefortheditch (IRE)
Fair hurdler, getting back to winning ways in 19f handicap at Limerick at the end of last year. Has a much lower chase mark to work from and, back over fences after 5 months off, was still in with a chance when landing awkwardly 2 out at Galway (2¼m) in October. Major player.
Following Orders (IRE)
Fair form over hurdles at best but well below that level over fences this season, well held in handicap chase at Galway (2¼m) on latest outing. Switches back to blinkers from cheekpieces.
Kelly's Cosmos (IRE)
Without a win over hurdles but has returned to form on his last 2 starts, fourth of 16 in handicap at this venue 2 weeks ago. Task is now to build on those efforts as he goes chasing (pulled up both starts in points early in his career).
Charlie's Gift (IRE)
Maiden hurdler who was too free on chasing debut when tailed off in handicap at Wexford (25f) in August. Back in cheekpieces, again raced keenly but fared better when fourth of 10 at Galway (2¼m) a month ago.
Bruise Hill (IRE)
Fitted with a tongue strap for second handicap start over hurdles, showed improved form when runner-up at Wexford (2½m) in August. However, was held prior to falling at the last at Roscommon the following month. Makes chasing debut (down the field completed start in points).
Old Kenmare (IRE)
Showed more than on first 2 starts last season when fourth of 16 in handicap hurdle at this venue in April. After 6 months off, raced too freely when down the field here 2 weeks ago. Tongue strap fitted as he goes over fences.
Zolpharine (IRE)
Belatedly off the mark over fences in handicap at Limerick (23f) in May before following up over hurdles at Tramore. Has been more miss than hit back chasing since, though, making mid-race mistakes when pulled up at this course (21f) 2 weeks ago.
Stily (FR)
Remains a maiden but benefited from the refitting of blinkers when making the frame in handicap hurdle at Cork (19f) last month. Backed that up returned to chasing when third of 15 here (21f) 2 weeks ago. Enters calculations back down in trip.
Atlantic Wonder (IRE)
Still looking for a breakthrough victory, mid-field on the second of 2 chase starts last year (pulled up on first occasion). With this season's return behind him, was sent off favourite when only sixth of 13 in handicap hurdle at Sligo (2¼m) 13 days ago. Interesting to see if supported again.
Amron Diamond (IRE)
In-and-out form for J. D. Motherway last season, making the frame twice in handicap hurdles but running poorly in his other 3 races. Has offered little in 2 starts for current yard, returning from a further 5 months off when tailed off at Roscommon in September. Makes chasing debut.
Romella (IRE)
Without a chase success but 5-time winning hurdler, her latest victory in handicap at Tipperary in October last year. However, she's struggled for form since (including over fences), down the field in handicap hurdle at this venue 2 weeks ago.
