This should go the way of a hurdling debutant given the pair with experience have achieved little. CENTRAL COMMAND may just edge Barbury Boy and Pantile's Gift if running up to his Flat form.

Timeform Comments

Barbury Boy
Oasis Dream gelding out of a middle-distance mare. Fairly useful winning handicapper on Flat (stays 1¼m). Capped an inconsistent season when well held at Sandown on latest start in September. Respected now sent hurdling by well-established dual-purpose yard.
Central Command (IRE)
Fairly useful son of Space Blues. Won 3 of 5 handicap starts (up to 1½m) for the Simon & Ed Crisford stable last season. Best of these on the Flat and in very capable hands for his hurdling debut.
Nicolai
Regressive on the Flat for Jack Channon. Offered little at long odds in a trio of juvenile hurdles, latterly at Newton Abbot in early-September. Cheekpieces go back on.
Pantile's Gift
Advertise gelding who was a fair winner up to 1¼m on the Flat for Jack Morland this spring. New yard (28% strike rate with hurdling debutants since the end of 2022) in better form in recent days.
Antiquarian
Advertise filly who achieved little on the Flat. Similar story when beaten 33 lengths on hurdling debut at Fontwell (2¼m). She'll need to leave that effort well behind second time up.
