PERCY DE COURCY looked a good prospect when scoring easily on his sole points run so is taken to make a winning start in this sphere now starting out for the all-conquering Skelton team. Spare The Voice was also successful on his only outing in points so could emerge as the main danger on his debut for Nick Scholfield ahead of Grand Teton and Coolnav who rate the pick of those with experience.

Timeform Comments

Company Charge
Unseated rider at the start in first-time cheekpieces in Worcester bumper in September before third in similar company at Plumpton (2¼m) in September. Well-held eighth of 13 on his hurdles debut in novice at Chepstow (19f, soft) 26 days ago.
Coolnav (IRE)
Showed temperament in 2 bumpers before runner-up at Wexford (17f) in May on final run for Roger McGrath. Hinted at promise on his hurdling bow with fourth of 13 in novice at Chepstow (19f, soft) 26 days ago. Not ruled out.
Delilah's Boy
10/1, well-held fifth of 7 in bumper at Newton Abbot (17f, good) on debut 19 days ago. This Flag of Honour gelding needs to build on it on his hurdles debut.
Grand Teton (IRE)
Some promise when fifth on 2m Sandown hurdling debut in January. Failed to build on it when sixth of 11 in novice at Ffos Las (2½m, soft) in April. Worth another chance for top yard.
Hoeyfield Lad (IRE)
25/1, hinted at promise when fourth of 5 in novice hurdle at Stratford (2m, good) 16 months ago. Has his fitness to prove after a long absence.
Jetaway Holiday (IRE)
Winning pointer. Encouraging fifth of 12 in novice hurdle at Fontwell (19f, good) on hurdles bow in April, not knocked about. Has since had a breathing operation and likely capable of better at some stage.
Le Roi Remi (FR)
Impressed when making a winning debut in bumper at Sandown last November but failed to build on that promise in bumpers at Kempton and Aintree subsequently, not looking an easy ride when seventh in Grade 2 event on latter occasion. Hurdling debutant.
Percy De Courcy
Poet's Word gelding. Half-brother to modest hurdler/untrustworthy chaser Another Mystery. Easy winner of his only start in points in January. A likely big player now going hurdling for top stable.
Sappingirl (IRE)
Runner-up in Fontwell bumper on debut last October and similar form when sixth of 15 in listed bumper at Ascot (2m, good to soft) 2 months later. Off since but this Blue Bresil gelding remains with potential on his hurdles debut.
Spare The Voice (IRE)
Maxios gelding. Dam, ran twice over hurdles, is closely related to fairly useful chaser (stayed 2½m) Changing The Rules. Won his only start in Irish points in March. Considered now starting out in this sphere.
