LABICHE made a promising start to life with James Owen when fourth at Wolverhampton on Monday and turned out quickly, could be the answer. Jenson Benson and Far Far Out are in-form rivals, while Saahir could be a different proposition returned to all-weather.

Timeform Comments

Jenson Benson (IRE)
Exceeded market expectations back from 10 months off (fitted with cheekpieces) when second at Hamilton in August and snapped a losing sequence dating back to 2022 at Brighton a month later. Another solid effort when second at latter venue since and can remain competitive.
Saahir (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden who looked interesting on the back of a stable switch but never looked like justifying support in the mud at Redcar 10 days ago. Better expected here returned to all-weather.
Poke The Bear (IRE)
Dual winner on all-weather at Lingfield earlier this year. Good fourth of 11 at Wolverhampton (9.5f) but turf form uninspiring so far.
Muy Muy Loco (IRE)
Hold-up performer whose 2 career victories have come over 1¼m at Lingfield, overcoming a pace bias for his success in February. Too free, even by his standards, on turf at Brighton 3 weeks ago.
Gifts Differing
Shaped well when runner-up at Newcastle for her new yard in September. Could manage only tenth of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton next time but latest fifth from a tough draw back there was a bit more like it.
Celtic Spirit
Yet to win a race but has been knocking on the door on turf, runner-up for the fourth time at Brighton 3 weeks ago, albeit no match for the winner.
Far Far Out (IRE)
Failed to beat a rival on first 3 starts for this yard after leaving Roger Varian but much more like it the last twice, second of 10 at a big price back on all-weather at Kempton (1m). Suited by how that race developed but he's of serious interest back up in distance.
Bennyworth (IRE)
Remains a maiden after 12 starts and never really looked like landing a blow at Wolverhampton last week (8.5f).
Liberty Bird
Good second on final start for Charlie Johnston but little to shout about in 6 starts for current connections. Has a basement mark as a result but others more persuasive.
Labiche
Wasn't particularly fancied in the market but surpassed previous form when fourth of 8 starting out for James Owen at Wolverhampton on Monday. Hood fitted and there should be more to come for this stable. Loughnane also takes over.
Lady Aiyana
Arrives on the back of a pair of in-frame efforts at Lingfield but that isn't form to be getting carried away with.
This Rib
Finished 6 lengths fourth in a Southwell maiden (7f) this time last year. Only matched that form in handicaps, not helped by his free-going ways. Drops back markedly in distance.
Lapidarist
Maiden who showed enough to think she's got a race in her when runner-up at Wolverhampton in March and got back to that sort of form when creditable second of 6 in minor event at Lingfield (1¼m). Didn't enjoy a smooth passage at Ffos Las but still didn't show enough to seriously consider her.
Echo That
Looks very limited after 5 starts.
