Timeform View

BAJAN BANDIT's recent victories have come at a lower level than this, yet he was a ready winner on the latest of them at Wolverhampton 9 days ago and, escaping a penalty, he may well take some stepping from a good draw in this form. Havana Touch has done well on all-weather this year and he commands plenty of respect too, with Nakaaha and The Hare Rail completing the shortlist.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Havana Touch traded at a high of 2.30 and Betfair SP of 2.87 when winning last time, a race in which it raced prominently and travelled strongly early on.

Timeform Comments

Havana Touch
Course winner who has done well on all-weather this year, registering a third success since April over 1m at Kempton 27 days ago. Did that readily enough and a 5 lb higher mark ought not to prevent him going well again.
Kalamunda
Multiple all-weather winner who ran well after 9 months off when second at Yarmouth (1m) in June. However, in a lull since, including in 2 starts back on all-weather at Southwell in recent months.
Sea Founder
Much better on all-weather than turf, winning at Kempton in April before producing a career best when second of 11 over 7f there in August. However, he's failed to beat a rival on all 3 starts since. Mark has eased further ahead of this but leap of faith certainly required.
Nakaaha
Scored at Bath (1m) in July and posted one of her better recent efforts when close fourth at Southwell (1m) 2 weeks ago, keeping on under pressure. Consistency not her strong suit but that shows her mark is workable.
This Farh
A winner at Leicester and Beverley earlier in the season but failed to come on for a recent run when sixth of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7f) 5 weeks ago. Fallen back down to last winning mark ahead of this if he can step forward, however.
The Hare Rail (IRE)
Finally got off the mark in 10-runner handicap at Wolverhampton (8.5f) in September and surpassed that form when second at Kempton (1m) 4 weeks ago, albeit aided by good position. Commands respect again with Billy Loughnane in the plate for all he's drawn wider than ideal.
Hitched (IRE)
Hold-up performer who scored at Wolverhampton in January. Below that level since, but probably in need of the run following 4 months off when eighth of 10 in handicap at Kempton (1m) 3 weeks ago. Dangerous to discount from this reduced mark.
Mighty Vega (IRE)
In fine form at Lingfield this spring, scoring in March and on turf there in May. Lightly campaigned more recently and ran to a similar level as on his recent return when fifth of 9 in handicap at Southwell (6f) 2 weeks ago. Return to 7f looks a good move.
Golden Pharaoh (IRE)
Sole win from 27 runs came at Ffos Las (7f, heavy) last autumn. Generally struggled on all-weather early this year but bettered recent turf efforts on back of 4-day turnaround when fourth at Doncaster (7f, heavy) 12 days ago. Eased further 2 lb ahead of this.
Musashi (IRE)
Improved for the switch to handicaps back in the spring, finishing runner-up twice in middle-distance contests for Joseph O'Brien. However, has gone without headgear worn then and not figured in 2 runs over 1m for new yard.
Bajan Bandit
Took advantage of his career-low mark when scoring at Newcastle in September and having finished placed next 2 starts, readily came out on top again in 10-runner handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 9 days ago. Goes unpenalised for that and he ought to be highly competitive again from handy draw.
