Timeform View

An open-looking sprint in which it could pay to side with NORTH STAR KODI, who boasts some strong maiden form at Hamilton back in the spring and the handicapper has given him a chance having failed to fire in a couple of nurseries thus far. Pride's Queen took a step forward switched to a nursery last time, so she heads up the dangers, with Commander Keith and Angelic Melody taken to fight out third.

Timeform Comments

North Star Kodi (IRE)
Shaped encouragingly when third in a pair of maidens at Hamilton in May but has failed to make an impact in a couple of nurseries more recently. Handicapper drops him 3 lb so not discounted down in grade.
Seathegulls
Yet to get off the mark and failed to find any improvement upped in trip for his nursery debut at Lingfield (6f, good to firm) back in early-August. Handicapper drops him 5 lb and ahead of this all-weather debut.
Quiet Soul (IRE)
Maiden who went backwards from stable debut returned to a nursery when sixth of 12 at this course (5f) 3 weeks ago. Back up in trip.
Thai Baht
Showed ability/best of the rest behind an above-average one on debut at Lingfield (6f, all-weather) in August but below that level on both subsequent starts, fifth of 8 in maiden at Wolverhampton (6f) most recently. Could well have more to offer now handicapping.
Ventura Power
Largely disappointing since encouraging debut sixth in 6f Windsor maiden (winner landed Redcar 2-Y-O Trophy) but a gelding operation and switch to a nursery got him back on track when fourth at Yarmouth on first try over 7f last month. Not so good at Wolverhampton since, however. Cheekpieces on.
Angelic Melody (IRE)
Hasn't progressed from debut but she looks a potential improver switched to a nursery. First-time cheekpieces applied and certainly worth a market check, though the draw could've been kinder.
Black Gin
Mayson filly who is yet to show much but should have more chance now tackling a nursery. Drops back in trip.
Get On That Baby (IRE)
Did better with debut under belt when fourth of 13 in novice at Beverley (5f, good to firm) just over 6 weeks ago and now makes the quick switch to a nursery. Upped in trip.
Dream On Kent
Twice runner-up in June and bounced back to form from a sliding mark minus the headgear when fifth of 13 at Leicester (6f, good to firm) last month. Each-way claims having his second all-weather start.
Curious Minx
Made more impact than previously after 3 months off when fourth of 9 in maiden at Brighton (1m) last month. Easy to put a line through her subsequent effort there 9 days later (hampered around 2f out) and now makes all-weather/nursery debut.
Pride's Queen
Showed improved form after 3 months off when third of 12 on nursery debut at Wolverhampton (7f) 17 days ago, admittedly having the run of things. Merits consideration from an unchanged mark.
Adelaides Turn
Standout effort when fourth of 7 in maiden at Bath (5f, good to soft) in September. May take a step forward now handicapping but will need to.
Rum Point (IRE)
Speedily-bred sort who fared better than previously when ninth of 13 in novice at Beverley (5f, good to firm) just over 6 weeks ago. Now handicapping returned to 6f and needs to improve again to feature.
Commander Keith (IRE)
Fared better than previously when third of 12 in maiden at this course (5f) just under 3 weeks ago. Looks just the type to progress no tackling a nursery so folly to discount.
