In a finale where the majority arrive with a point to prove the vote goes to PRINCE OF PILLO after his back-to-form second here last time. Infinity Blue's infrequent visits to the track this year suggests there's been the odd issue but he shaped quite well on his reappearance at the end of the summer and is second choice ahead of Maldevious.

Timeform Comments

Stanley Spencer (IRE)
Multiple all-weather winner but has struggled in a handful of outings for current yard, including back on tapeta here a fortnight ago.
Straight Ahead
Won back-to-back 5f nurseries at Newcastle to end 2025. Went close on turf at Thirsk and Beverley this summer but below par on his last 3 outings. Needs a return to all-weather to help spark a revival.
Logi Bear (IRE)
Went the wrong way for Richard Hannon last year but back in better form for new yard this summer, doubling his career tally at Lingfield (6f, all-weather) in August. Two lesser runs have followed with cheekpieces but that headgear is discarded now. Nicely treated on the Lingfield form.
Curious Rover (IRE)
Well-backed winner at Ayr in July but has failed to repeat that in 4 outings since. Back to just 1 lb above that successful mark, though.
Ormolulu (IRE)
Five-time C&D winner but 19 runs since the latest in early 2025. Creditable seventh of 12 in handicap (12/1) at Newcastle (6f) 24 days ago.
Prince Of Pillo (IRE)
Dual winner in the first half of 2025 (including over C&D) and took a step back in the right direction when second of 10 over C&D 17 days ago, going down only to a thriving sort. Given a chance to build on that promise.
Maldevious (IRE)
Gained a deserved breakthrough win at Thirsk in August. Respectable fourth on tapeta at Newcastle in September and possibly unsuited by soft ground when a below-form fourth at Hamilton since.
Infinity Blue (IRE)
More miss than hit in 2025 but he did shape with a bit of promise when fourth on his slightly belated reappearance at Beverley (5f, good) in August. Absent for a further 12 weeks since. Enters calculations.
Double Eagle (IRE)
Showed some ability in 4 starts for George Boughey last year. Easily best effort in handicaps for current yard when sixth of 9 at this course (7f) 18 days ago, nearest finish. Could click at some point but this short trip isn't sure to help.
