Timeform View

The consistent DALER looks a very solid proposition having been only narrowly denied over C&D last week and gets the verdict over Exquisite Acclaim, who has rather encouragingly been able to string a couple of positive efforts together. Stable-switcher Jolly Roger merits a second look in the betting.

Daler traded at a low of 2.06 and Betfair SP of 7.00 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Spicy Margarita (IRE)
Sole win came in a 7f course maiden early last year. Best effort this season when beaten 1¾ lengths fourth in 6-runner listed race at the Curragh (1m) in June but hasn't built on that since and drops into handicap company with blinkers reapplied.
Jolly Roger (IRE)
Placed on 2 of his 3 outings last season and held his form well in the UAE this winter. Ran well back in Britain when second of 9 in handicap at Redcar (1m, good) in April but shaped as if amiss at Ascot when last seen. Nevertheless, has now joined a yard that does well with similar types.
Exquisite Acclaim (IRE)
Three-time C&D winner, latest back in January. Runner-up here at the start of last month and backed that up with a respectable fifth of 12 in handicap (9/2) at this course (7f) 21 days ago. Considered still on last winning mark.
Daler (IRE)
C&D winner has proved a model of consistency since scoring at Leopardstown (9f) in June. Has been holding his form well since, only just failing to reel in the winner when second of 14 in handicap at this C&D 7 days ago. Shortlist material.
Flanker Jet
Much improved when landing conditions event here (6f) in March but seemingly hasn't returned from a mid-season break in much form and he trailed home last of 16 in handicap at Leopardstown (8.5f, good to soft) 19 days ago. Needs to bounce back.
Booyea (IRE)
On a lengthy losing run but went close in a competitive handicap at the Curragh and made the frame in the Irish Cambridgeshire this summer. Not quite so good on his last 3 starts, though.
Oro Blanco (IRE)
Won 7f Fairyhouse maiden and 6f Naas novice (match) in June but hasn't really convinced with his attitude since and failed to justify strong support when eighth of 16 in handicap at Leopardstown (8.5f, good to soft, 9/2) 19 days ago. Others are more convincing.
Boston Benjamin (IRE)
Off the mark in a 7f handicap here in February. Tailed off over hurdles at the beginning of this month but much more like it back on the level when third of 12 in handicap at this course (7f, 50/1) 21 days ago but this is a much stronger affair.
