Steadily-progressive 6-y-o. Smooth-travelling second here in April. Again prominent in the market when going one better with an air of authority over C&D on return. Capable of defying a 5 lb rise under jockey enjoying purple patch - 8 wins at 29% strike rate (much higher than usual) in last 4 weeks.
I Love You Sivola (FR)
Successful 2 of 4 starts since joining impressive young trainer (also first past the post/disqualified after rider weighed in light last month). Easy winner of 3-runner chase at Warwick latest. Now back hurdling on third run in 6 days. Looks the main danger to Mild Magic if arriving in same form.
Stamina Chope (FR)
Successful in 2½m mares handicaps over fences and hurdles (soft/heavy) last season. Shaped as if as good as ever second time up this season, finishing 2½ lengths third of 5 to Mild Magic at Plumpton. May struggle to reverse form, even with 5 lb pull at the weights.
Docteur Romeo (FR)
Didn't achieve much in a bumper/3 hurdle starts last season. Sent off favourite when beaten 6½-lengths fourth of 8 on return/handicap debut at Worcester (2½m, soft), proving a touch too free under the conditions. Could do better up in trip, provided that run has taken the freshness out of him.
Path Of Stars (FR)
Off the mark over hurdles in an ordinary Cartmel handicap in May. Handicapper slow to relent following 4 subsequent in-frame efforts, latterly finishing 14 lengths third over fences at Sedgefield (21f). Stamina remains a question mark over this sort of trip, too.
