Assuming he copes with a 4-day turnaround, HARD STARE can put his fitness to good use and build on what was a promising chasing debut at Plumpton on Monday. Ted The Thief lacks an outing but is the obvious threat.

Timeform Comments

My Own Lovely Lee (IRE)
Third sole start in Irish points last year. Maiden over hurdles during a light novice campaign but signed off 2025/26 with his best effort yet when fourth of 6 in handicap at Newton Abbot (3¼m) in April. Inauspicious chase debut 3 weeks ago and blinkers quickly applied.
Ted The Thief (IRE)
Low-mileage 6-y-o is improving over fences, justifying support in a strongly-run handicap at Taunton in February prior to a runner-up effort from 7 lb higher at Exeter. Off since but demands respect at this level.
Hard Stare
Point bumper winner and showed more than previously over hurdles sent handicapping when placed twice during the spring. Promising chasing debut when second at Plumpton on Monday and claims seem obvious turned out quickly.
Sweet Nightingale
Hurdles scorer who struck at the sixth attempt over fences at Exeter (3m) in March. At least respectable efforts the next twice before perhaps finding a busy spell catching up with her at Warwick in May.
Pawpaw
Not the easiest to catch right but was on a "going" day when winning this race in 2024 and also tasted success at Hereford the following February. Missed 18 months and hard to be confident about him at present after 2 heavy comeback defeats.
Steal The Moves (IRE)
Point winner but a maiden under Rules. Shaped like the best horse at the weights when second in this headgear at Ffos Las in February, tiring final 100 yds after kicking on early. Off the track since and now goes up in distance.
