RISKY OBSESSION's Aintree bumper form has been well advertised, and he's fancied to make a winning start over hurdles. Aqua Bleu showed plenty as a juvenile last season and is feared most at the weights.

Timeform Comments

Watery Borren (IRE)
Picked up for £70,000 after winning sole start in Irish points last winter. Given a breathing operation prior to a dominant all-the-way success in a tongue strap on hurdling/stable debut at Carlisle (17f). No easy task to repeat the feat, though, giving weight away to a trio with classier form.
Aqua Bleu (IRE)
Chased home subsequent Grade 2 runner-up (always held) on hurdling debut. Most professional when improving to make it a hat-trick in junior hurdles at Chepstow in February. Ran no sort of race in Grade 1 here subsequently, however, entitled to be in the mix if reproducing the pick of his form.
Avide (IRE)
Dubawi gelding out of Group 1-winning mare. Useful on the Flat (stays 1½m). Sold out of Fabre yard (€220,000) after close third at Chantilly in May. New stable only 3% strike rate with hurdling debutants in the past 12 months, though unlikely to have saddled such a classy prospect within that time.
Risky Obsession (IRE)
Expensive winning pointer (1-1) who looked an excellent prospect when landing a Warwick bumper last winter. Sixth behind stablemate in Aintree Grade 2 in April. That race has already produced 6 subsequent winning hurdling debutants, and he may well add to that tally in first-time hood/tongue strap.
