Timeform View

Preference is for DIXIE MAFIA, who improved on his hurdles form straight away with an emphatic success on chasing debut at Perth in April. He seems sure to do better in this sphere and can see off the challenge of the hat-trick seeking Off The Jury, while it would be no surprise to see Barnpark leave his chasing/stable debut effort behind up in trip.

Geezer Rockstar has traded at more than 2 times Betfair SP twice when winning during its last 4 starts.

Timeform Comments

Off The Jury (IRE)
Maiden hurdler but came good at the first of asking sent chasing in 3-runner handicap at Cartmel (21f) in May. Followed up in another 3-runner affair at Worcester (2½m), the form of which has worked out well. Remains capable of better still as he goes back up in trip on his return.
Stride On (IRE)
Bumper winner who made it third time lucky over hurdles with an impressive display in maiden at Ayr (19f) in February. Ran well when second in novice at the same course (21f) in April and he appeals as the type to make up into a better chaser. Makes handicap debut on his return.
Leader Crik (FR)
Runner-up in an Irish point and, following a breathing operation, stepped forward from his hurdling debut effort when landing a Doncaster maiden (19f) in February. After a further 8 months off, possibly needed the run when well held in handicap at Chepstow (3m) in October. Makes chasing debut.
Below The Radar (IRE)
Is a chaser on looks and hadn't really put a foot wrong until landing steeply and departing on chasing debut at Taunton in December. Proved consistent in handicap hurdles the rest of the campaign and he's well worth another try over fences.
Geezer Rockstar (IRE)
Gained a first handicap success over hurdles when scoring comfortably at Wincanton (21f) in April. Again travelled well when following up at Uttoxeter (23f), so task is now to pick up where he left off as he goes chasing after 6 months away.
Barnpark
Point winner who shaped with promise all 3 starts under Rules for Gavin Cromwell, making the frame in a pair of 2½m maiden hurdles. After 5 months off, well held dropped to 2m in handicap at Worcester on chasing debut 16 days ago, but this longer trip should be more suitable. One to note.
Dixie Mafia (IRE)
After 3 months off, bettered his hurdles form at the first attempt sent chasing when winning 5-runner handicap at Perth (3m) in April, jumping soundly. Absent again since but he's open to improvement and this extra distance promises to suit. Major player.
