DIAMOND MIX is building up a very good record round here and is weighted to repeat his win in this contest 12 months ago unless points runner-up Imperfectlyperfect proves well-above average on his first go over fences. Ghasham also has winning form over C&D and needs considering too.

Fair 2m hurdles winner who signed off last season with a good second of 11 in novice here (2m, good to soft) in April. Also runner-up in an Irish point so much respected now going chasing for in-form stable.
Diamond Mix (IRE)
Dual winner here (including in this event a year ago) and he posted another good course effort when second of 5 in handicap chase (2m, good to soft) 5 days ago. Weighted to go well off 1 lb lower mark.
Carcaci Castle (IRE)
C&D winner but he's an unreliable sort and was pulled up in handicap chase at Ayr (2m, heavy) when last seen out in January. Has since had a breathing operation and needs to hit the ground running.
Ask A Sainte
Won 2m handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter in June. Runner-up on 2m chasing debut at Market Rasen next time and back to form with third of 4 in handicap chase at Southwell (2m, good) 24 days ago on his final run for Olly Murphy. Needs to reproduce it for new handler.
Got Grey (FR)
Dual hurdles winner who made it second time lucky over fences at Worcester (2m) last June for Dan Skelton. Hasn't been the same force for current yard, eased off on the back of latest breathing operation over hurdles at Wetherby 23 days ago. Has plenty to prove reverted to chasing.
Flash Du Pistolet (IRE)
Dual chase winner. Runner-up over C&D in April but a below-par fifth of 7 in handicap chase at Kelso (17f, good) following month. More is needed after a break.
Ghasham (IRE)
Has made a positive start over fences for current yard, off the mark over C&D in June. Not disgraced with sixth of 9 in handicap chase at Uttoxeter (2m, good) last time so he must enter calculations eased 1 lb.
