Timeform View

LUNA MARQUESA was getting the hang of things late on when fifth on her recent hurdling debut at Worcester and with this stiffer track seeming sure to suit she is fancied to get off the mark and continue the fine run of Joe Tizzard. Kamille Au Kanada is feared most in her bid for a third hurdling success, although Just A Poet can't be ruled out after a break too.

Timeform Comments

Kamille Au Kanada (FR)
Winning pointer. Made it 2-3 over hurdles with easy success in 6-runner novice hurdle at Hereford (2½m, good) 11 days ago. Concedes weight all round here though.
Cinnamon Storm (IRE)
200/1 and tongue tied when eleventh of 13 in novice hurdle at Carlisle (17f, good to soft) on debut 15 days ago. Lots more is required from this Sholokhov filly.
Just A Poet
Lightly-raced maiden hurdler. Best effort when a clear third of 8 in novice hurdle over C&D (good) in May. Not out of things after a break.
Luna Marquesa (FR)
Kapgarde mare took a step forward from her bumper debut with a staying-on fifth of 10 in novice at Worcester (2m, soft) on hurdles bow 16 days ago. Left poorly placed there and seems sure to improve, especially over this stiffer track. Player for yard among the winners.
Queen Lily (IRE)
€6,500 3-y-o, £30,000 5-y-o, Lauro mare. Dam unraced sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 21f) Rebel Yeats and closely related to smart hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 25f) Mossley. Placed all 3 starts in Irish points, latest in May, so needs considering on her hurdling bow.
