BLAZING SON has 3 C&D wins to his name and still looks very well treated on old form after recent 3 lb rise so could well follow up at the expense of Showtime Mahomes, who can bounce back returned to all-weather, and the consistent Wise Crack.

Timeform Comments

Tactical Blitz
Hadn't fully fired since changing yards but got back on track when winning over C&D 7 days ago, looking suited by the return to this trip. Quick return under a penalty and his task now is to back that effort up.
Blazing Son
Proven effective over C&D with 3 wins to his name, including when scoring here 35 days ago. Had tactical advantages for that success but only 3 lb higher here and still well treated on old form so should go well again in this grade.
Noelies Dream
Off the mark at this course over 5f in November 2025, but hasn't reached that level in 2 outings this year. Hopes pinned on drop back in grade and return to this venue. Tongue strap also reapplied.
Cairdeas
Winless in 20 handicap starts but better than the result when fourth of 12 at Redcar 11 days ago when testing 7f seemed to stretch him. Drop back in trip will suit and also dips into 0-65 company for the first time in his career so needs considering.
Educating Rita
Hasn't won in 20 starts but has run better on all-weather lately, making the frame twice over 7f here in October. Back down to 6f and worth considering kept to this venue.
Wise Crack (IRE)
Winner from this mark over 7f at Catterick in July and consistent since. Ran well when close third of 14 at Redcar down at this trip 11 days ago and handles this surface so holds place claims once more.
Showtime Mahomes
Won at Ripon in September before good second of 12 at Redcar 21 days ago, but latest effort on heavy going at latter track was disappointing. Well treated if bouncing back returned to all-weather.
The Tunguska Event (IRE)
Dual C&D winner but lost his way at the end of the summer and now returns from 93 days off with fitness to prove going without usual headgear.
Delagate This Lord
Last win came from 4 lb higher mark on tapeta at Southwell in December 2024. Showed some zest before tiring badly when thirteenth of 14 at Redcar 11 days ago on first start for a new yard after a year off and may last longer back on all-weather here.
Solar Cooper
Won handicap at Ripon in May but has been well held in 5 runs since and hard to fancy back on all-weather.
Winter Crown
Won this race last year from 5 lb higher mark and took step back in the right direction this time around when third of 11 over C&D 7 days ago. Now back down in 0-65 company and worth consideration.
Bibendum
Course winner around this time last year but last couple of efforts haven't been encouraging.
Spun To Gold (USA)
Dual C&D winner who thrived this time last year but inconsistency has blighted him since and he's likely to need the run returning from 221 days off.
Montpellier Green (IRE)
Well treated on best form but on the downgrade since joining this yard and rarely made the track in last 12 months. May strip fitter for recent return but market likely to provide the best idea to his chance.
