Progressive HARBOUR LIGHT is fancied to make it a 4-timer. Pigeon Forge and Diamond Geezer appeal as the most likely dangers.

Timeform Comments

Roger Pol (IRE)
Lost his form after completing a double at Hexham last autumn. Revitalised by blinkers/switch to front running recently, backing up his previous effort when runner-up in small-field C&D handicap. Needs a bit more in a deeper race.
Diamond Geezer (IRE)
Steadily-progressive sort who won 3 handicaps last season. Only found one on a roll too good on return at Market Rasen (23f) last month. In excellent hands and should be in the mix with another step forward.
Gold In The Rivers (IRE)
Hadn't been the easiest to catch right before bouncing back to his best with success at Market Rasen (23f) in February. Shaped better than the beaten distance in testing conditions at Ffos Las later that month. Returns on a workable mark, with good-value claimer also up for the first time.
Tiger Orchid (IRE)
Veteran who gained due reward for a consistent spell when readily scoring over C&D in June. Probably still in form following well-held third on return to hurdling at Worcester (23f, soft) latest, doing better than most in a strung-out field. Should give his running for an in-form yard.
Harbour Light
Improving sort. Travelled smoothly when completing a hat-trick (3-4 in handicaps) on return at Chepstow (3m, soft) last time. Still unexposed over staying trips and looks capable of defying another 5 lb rise.
A Chara
Irish point winner. Standout effort over hurdles when chasing home an odds-on shot at Southwell second time up. Unsuited by slow-run race when third of 4 over C&D on return/qualifying run latest. Opening mark hardly looks a generous one.
Kintail
Quirky sort who often goes from the front. Found some form for the addition of more severe headgear at the end of last season, latterly finishing fourth behind Tiger Orchid at Bangor (23f). Since undergone a breathing operation and has been given a chance by the handicapper on return.
Pigeon Forge (IRE)
Irish point winner from a good jumping family. Seemingly improved (market principals disappointed) when off the mark in a 2½m course novice in May. Solid chance at the weights on handicap debut and likely to relish the longer trip.
Rehill Relic (IRE)
Won a Sedgefield maiden on latest hurdle start last April. Looked to be going the right way a chaser prior to falling when odds-on favourite at Doncaster in February. Back hurdling and this presumably a pipe-opener ahead of a return to fences.
