Timeform View

DRISH SAMPHIRE has upped her game since the hood was removed, winning twice in her last 3 starts, including a competitive handicap at Nottingham last month where she led close home. Despite being up 3 lb, she's fancied to follow up if proving as effective on all-weather. Up The Anti has returned to form with consecutive seconds but needs things to drop right, while Masai Angel is less exposed than most of these and could go well.

Timeform Comments

Up The Anti (IRE)
Returned to form with back-to-back seconds, most recently of 16 at Bath 9 days ago when forced to switch but keeping on well. Needs things to drop right but is well enough treated back on all-weather.
Blackjack
Multiple C&D winner who returned to form when second of 13 in a handicap here over 7f 9 days ago, producing one of this year's better efforts. Consistency not his strong point but reproduction of latest effort can see him go well back down in trip.
Jet Warrior
Won twice over this trip on turf in May but more miss than hit since. First-time tongue strap now applied.
Master Dandy (IRE)
Sold cheaply from Michael Keady and only sixth on stable debut in a handicap at Wolverhampton. Fared better when fourth of 12 in a handicap at Kempton last time but was well positioned. Blinkers back on and more required.
Ottawa
NON RUNNER.
Masai Angel (FR)
Returned to form when third of 12 in a handicap at Wolverhampton 11 days ago, the step back up to 6f suiting, and he looks one to take seriously up against more exposed rivals at this level.
Drish Samphire (IRE)
Has upped her game since the hood was removed, making it 2 wins from her last 3 starts, including a 6f handicap at Nottingham last month, leading close home from 14 runners. 3 lb rise shouldn't be too much of an issue if she proves as effective back on all-weather.
Teardrops
Multiple Newcastle winner last winter but showed nothing since joining this yard, including on return from 3 months off last time. May strip fitter for that outing and blinkers applied for first time since changing stables so could help reveal a bit more.
Thanks Dad
Won classified stakes at Yarmouth in August but hasn't backed that up in handicaps since so is tough to fancy despite the fact he returns to Southwell where he has won twice including once over C&D.
Auntie Jo
Twice a winner over 5f for David O'Meara. Placed twice since joining current yard and shaped well back in headgear on her return from 3 months off when third of 10 at Newcastle 18 days ago, finishing well. Could go well but needs to conclusively prove herself as effective at 6f.
Tam Lin (IRE)
Failed to win for Anthony Carson earlier in the year and now returns from 6 months off starting out for new yard with cheekpieces removed and back sprinting so hard to know what to expect.
Piperstown (IRE)
Won 3 times on all-weather early this year, including over C&D. Not so good either start since recent return from 6 months off but could strip fitter for those efforts and has first-time tongue strap applied so not without hope.
