FEEL THE NEED wasted no time getting back on the up when second over C&D 2 weeks ago and he'll surely go very close again from 1 lb higher. A well-run 7f on soft ground suits Stanage so he's second choice, ahead of Ghisa.

Timeform Comments

Jel Pepper (IRE)
Scored twice in 2025 for Oliver Cole, including in sales race at Newmarket (7f). Hasn't managed to kick on this season, though, notably below form all 3 starts for this yard. 7f probably more suitable than 5f last time and this is easier but he has lots to prove.
It Just Takes Time (IRE)
Veteran who justified support when bouncing back to form in a first-time visor at Catterick last month. Beaten by more than a 4 lb rise/better race over C&D 2 weeks ago, though, weakening out of it. Headgear now removed.
Pol Roger (IRE)
Returned to winning ways at Ayr (1¼m) in August and showed a good attitude when also scoring at Redcar the following month. Hit quite hard by the assessor for that and has suffered 2 heavy defeats in 3 starts since. Drops back markedly in distance.
Fifty Nifty (IRE)
Free-going sort who got off the mark for this yard over 6f on the July course in August. Ran a cracker from 6 lb out of the handicap when second of 13 at Ascot (6f) in September and not seen to best effect both starts since, Needs treating as though still in form and now back over 7f for new yard.
Ghisa (IRE)
First handicap and turf success at Chester (7f) in September and was forced to switch when fourth at Pontefract 3 weeks ago. Remains in form and return to 7f in her favour.
Feel The Need
Had signalled a return to form in the Legends race here and confirmed that impression when ending losing run in comfortable fashion at Southwell. Wasted no time casting aside a lesser effort at York when runner-up back over C&D 2 weeks ago and he's of major interest up 1 lb.
Stanage
Looked back to his best when ending losing run at Ayr (heavy) last month, suited by the strong pace. Shaped as though still in reasonable nick when fifth here 2 weeks ago (Feel The Need second) but does need everything to fall right.
Charlie Mason
Goes well under these conditions, as emphasised when doubling his tally for the season over 6f here 15 days ago. This is his first go at 7f for a while but he stays this far.
Miss Lady Grace (IRE)
Justified support with a much-improved effort at Goodwood under Alexandra Egan in June and followed up with the minimum of fuss at Chester a week later. Off 3 months after and progress stalled the last twice, though she should be at peak fitness now.
Skewsby
Continued a theme of run-to-run progression when 1¼ lengths second of 8 to Lady Vega in novice at Redcar in September. Had the run of the race that day and was found out in better company on the all-weather a month ago. Handicap debut from a tough-looking mark.
Decem Starr (IRE)
Maiden but posted his best effort yet when second of 12 in 7f Southwell handicap starting out for Julie Camacho in September. Held up in a steadily run race back on turf next time so not judged too harshly on that.
King's Call (IRE)
Yet to add to his debut success in 20 subsequent outings but he has tumbled in the weights and latest Redcar third suggests he's found his level.
