MINELLA MACHINE looked a useful prospect when off the mark in bumpers last season and this costly point recruit is taken to continue the stable’s fine recent record in this race, with fellow expensive pointing purchase Coq Noir feared most now hurdling and likely to leave his sole bumper effort well behind, while unbeaten bumper performer Adaboy Mushy must also enter calculations.

Blue Bresil gelding who showed improved form and tactical versatility when maintaining his unbeaten bumper record at Punchestown in April, overcoming a significant pace and positional bias in the process. One to consider on hurdling debut.
Barrow Side Boy (IRE)
Well held in a bumper and maiden hurdle on both starts to date.
Claude Du Val (FR)
Promising first effort when third of 14 at Navan in February 2024. Unsurprisingly shaped as if needing the run when fifth to Colcannon on return from 14-month absence in April. Off again since but should have more to offer as a hurdler. First-time tongue tie applied.
Coq Noir (FR)
€200,000 point winner (April 2025). Is bred to stay well and was unsuited by the emphasis on speed when only sixth of 8 in bumper at Wexford in March. Type to do much better now hurdling.
Gold Star Status (IRE)
Off mark in points at fourth attempt and has shaped like a stayer on both hurdling outings to date. Unlikely to make much impact this side of staying handicaps.
Got The Honours (IRE)
Crystal Ocean. Dam, lightly raced in bumpers, sister to useful hurdler/fairly useful chaser Cup Final and fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Asta La Pasta. Easy winner of second start in points. Interesting hurdling debutant for a good yard. Wears tongue tie. Engaged 2.20 Gowran Saturday.
Marine Tycoon (IRE)
Well held on completed start in maiden hurdles and is probably one for handicaps later on.
Minella Machine (IRE)
Well bred and bought for €350,000 after winning sole outing in points. Showed plenty amidst inexperience when fourth to Champion Bumper winner The Mourne Rambler at Leopardstown before getting off the mark at Wexford in March. Useful prospect for yard with excellent recent record in this race.
Muckanagh Lough (IRE)
Runner-up twice from 4 starts in bumpers, leaving Brian M. McMahon after his second start. Matched that level of form when 9¾ lengths fifth of 17 to Gillane in maiden hurdle at Gowran last month.
No Loose Ends (IRE)
Off mark in points at second attempt but was always behind in maiden hurdle at Galway and is likely to flourish at a later stage.
Straight Bourbon (IRE)
Half-brother to useful hurdler Jet Of Magic (19f-23f winner, by Jet Away): dam (h82), maiden hurdler (stayed 2½m), half-sister to useful hurdlers (2m-2¼m winner) Bolino Star and (stayed 2¼m) Raise Your Heart: unplaced completed start in points, fell last time (Nov 2025). Stiff task.
