KOPEK DES BORDES clearly has a hole or 2 in his jumping but his ability and potential remain under no doubt and this looks an excellent opportunity for him to get back on track. Irish Panther is a clear second choice.

Reliable sort who won 3 of his 5 starts last season, including a Grade 2 at Punchestown. Flying too high in Grade 1 final start and tough ask conceding weight all round on return.
Irish Panther
Took well to fences last season, building on opening Navan success when ½-length second in Grade 1 novice at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting. Swerved the Arkle for a sporting tilt at the Champion Chase but his jumping didn't hold up. Overdid things at Punchestown since.
Kopek Des Bordes (FR)
Winner of Supreme Hurdle in 2025. Had just the one run over fences (cruised clear in Navan maiden) prior to second in Arkle last season, likely to have won had he jumped the last better. In process of making amends when falling 2 out in Grade 1 at Punchestown since. Clear round should suffice.
Bowensonfire (FR)
Smart 2m hurdler. Yet to match that form in this sphere but has been brought along steadily and got off the mark back in calmer waters in Cheltenham novice 16 days ago. This a lot tougher, though.
Rockstown Girl (IRE)
A 3-time winning hurdler but still a maiden over fences and she's hopelessly out of her depth here.
