COWBOY CASANOVA has shown enough to date to land a race of this nature and appeals as the one to beat. Highbourne Karisma is an interesting French recruit for her connections and appeals as next best, while Mint Approved has to be respected on his bumper form.

Cowboy Casanova (IRE)
Shaped well all 3 bumper starts earlier this year, exceeding expectations when third at Punchestown Festival in late-April. Again showed plenty when 7 lengths second of 12 to Spanish Darling in novice on hurdling debut at Worcester (2m, good to soft) last month. This right-handed test looks ideal.
Hive Runner (IRE)
Blue Bresil gelding who won sole start in points. 5/1, failed to meet expectations when well-held third of 10 in novice hurdle at Chepstow (2m, good to soft) on Rules debut 30 days ago. Should have more to offer though this test may be on the sharp side.
Kaylan (GER)
Lots to like on paper and vindicated market confidence when accounting for 9 rivals in a 2m Warwick bumper on debut in October 2024. Market best guide going hurdling on return from over 2 years off.
Mint Approved (FR)
Stepped up considerably on NH debut since joining this yard, opening his account under Rules when winning 4-runner bumper at Plumpton (2¼m, good to soft, 5/1) in April. Doesn't have much of a jumping pedigree but has to be respected now hurdling.
Prince Rasam
Fair Flat winner, though sole win came on debut back in 2023 over 1¼m. Failed to kick on from a promising reappearance at Kempton in May. Hood goes back on for hurdles debut and probably best watched here.
Triple Edge
Showed some ability on debut in bumpers but failed to improve on that outing despite making the frame at Exeter next time. Makes hurdles debut.
Highbourne Karisma (FR)
Doctor Dino mare. Tongue strap on (retained) when winning 8-runner minor event on Flat at Durtal (11.4f, heavy) in February for Louisa Carberry. Since changed hands for €120,000 and much respected now going hurdling for new yard.
