Timeform View

LUNE BRILLANTE showed a good turn of foot when going in at the first time of asking over hurdles at Worcester recently and can follow up over this longer trip to thwart Locker Boum who also made a winning start in this sphere at Chepstow and should ensure Dan Skelton's mare doesn't have things all her own way. Padre Arthur also has the form to play a part if back on song on his return.

Timeform Comments

Locker Boum (FR)
£100,000 buy after easily winning a point. Left bumper debut well behind when landing 7-runner novice at Chepstow (3m, good to soft) on hurdles bow 31 days ago, responding generously. That form has been boosted since so he's a big player despite conceding weight all round.
Clondaw Sergeant (IRE)
Kingston Hill gelding. Placed in Irish points and showed a bit when fourth of 6 in bumper at Ffos Las (2m, heavy) on Rules debut 11 days ago. Needs to build on it now going over hurdles over this much longer trip.
Electric City (IRE)
€4,500 3-y-o, Getaway gelding. Half-brother to fair hurdler Hypersonic Missile, stayed 3m. Got off mark in points at the fifth attempt in March and worth a look on hurdles debut.
Lune Brillante (IRE)
Walk In The Park mare who was a fairly useful bumper winner and she made a highly promising start over hurdles when easily bagging 10-runner novice at Worcester (2m, soft) 19 days ago, quickening clear from last. Should prove as effective over this longer trip and leading claims.
Padre Arthur
Much improved when second in 21f novice hurdle at Kempton in February but made mistakes when a tailed-off last of 4 in similar company at Haydock (21f, good) in April. Yard is going well and worth another chance after a break.
Captain Connor (FR)
Remains a maiden but has made the frame several times this season, latest when runner-up in handicap hurdle at Huntingdon (25f, good) 8 days ago. Has plenty to find on form here though.
Simply A Dancer
No impact in pair of bumpers and 2 races over hurdles last season.
