Handicap debutant SEA EAGLE gets the nod in a tricky event. Hamsiyann often comes good at this time of year, and he's feared most on return, while Belle The Tigress could have a say if ready to roll on the back of an absence.

Hamsiyann (IRE)
Back to his smooth-travelling best when runner-up at Newcastle in November last year. Out of sorts in both codes over the spring and has dropped to a handy mark as a result. No surprise to see him capitalise given his record fresh (latest win this time 2 years ago came off a similar break).
Sea Eagle
Useful on the Flat. Runner-up in maiden hurdles at Downpatrick/Wexford (also producing fairly useful effort when unseating at Tramore in spring). Did all he could behind a trio of bumper winners at Perth (2m) last time. Makes handicap debut and looks well treated on the pick of his form.
Belle The Tigress (IRE)
Off the mark on return at Clonmel prior to splitting a couple of next-time-out winners at Punchestown last June. Off since beaten 6 lengths (jumped indifferently) in handicap at Galway festival the following month. On a reasonable mark and has to be respected if fit/well off a 15-month absence.
Carrig Padraig (IRE)
Bumper winner for Martin Fitzgerald. In the process of running well (may have won) until falling late on in Roscommon maiden on return. Looks to have been campaigned with handicaps in mind since, however, his opening mark leaves little room for error.
Shirzan (IRE)
Suited by the emphasis on speed when landing a juvenile event at Limerick (2m, soft) in March. Still on the up when nearly doubling her tally in a mares handicap at Listowel in September prior to a creditable Flat debut. Doesn't have much to find back hurdling in open company.
Sonny May (IRE)
Clearly hasn't been the easiest to train since completing a double here 2 years ago. Belatedly showed he still has something to offer when beaten 12¼ lengths following further 5 months away over C&D latest. Potentially interesting if building on that.
Allo Al Khawaneej
Hit and miss since well-backed winner of Kilbeggan maiden hurdle (2m) in April 2025. Sent off single figures for first time since when back to his best in Clonmel claimer last time, only headed final 100 yds. Back in handicap sporting more severe headgear and again worth noting if supported.
Born De Ceres (FR)
Lightly-raced 4-y-o. Suited by the longer trip/improved further when smooth-travelling second (beaten ¾-length) on qualifying run at Limerick (19f) last time. Back down in distance on handicap bow and his opening mark demands a fair bit more again.
Inver Bay (IRE)
Proved a different proposition when readily winning on handicap hurdle debut at Roscommon (2m, 50/1). Repeated the feat at the same course on the Flat last time. Back hurdling with a bit more to find, though hat-trick certainly not ruled out in her current vein of form.
