GALLIVANTED produced his best effort yet over hurdles when second over C&D 2 weeks ago and from the same mark, he could be the way to go with his stable starting to hit form. Virtual Rock and Cayman Dancer are in-form rivals, while Blues Singer may up his game this season.

Timeform Comments

Lewisham Grove (IRE)
Took another step forward when opening his account in a big-field Newcastle maiden (20.3f, good to soft) in January. Found the going tougher in a better race at Musselburgh 2 weeks later and fitted with cheekpieces, he showed similar form when second at Doncaster. Handicap debut for in-form yard.
Virtual Rock (IRE)
Has been around the houses in his career but made a superb start to life with Des Donovan, winning twice in September. Didn't give up the hat-trick without a fight when second at Wetherby 4 weeks ago and he needs considering in his current mood.
Blues Singer
Fairly useful bumper winner had been highly tried over hurdles before capitalising on a drop in grade in a C&D maiden in March. Didn't find much at Hexham a month later and off since but he's in top hands and he may well kick on in handicap this season.
Cayman Dancer
Fairly useful on the Flat. Showed all that relative speed as a juvenile hurdler and should have opened his account at Fontwell (demoted) in March. Hood left off and he produced a big career best when a ready scorer at Plumpton last week. Carries a penalty but this sharp test right up his street.
Mister Cessna (FR)
Successful over both sets of obstacles 6 months apart in 2025 but lightly raced and more miss than hit since over the larger obstacles. Now goes hurdling with cheekpieces on.
Gallivanted (FR)
Changed hands for 70,000 gns and landed a Musselburgh maiden hurdle in February. Doubled his tally on the level at Goodwood in May and best effort yet over hurdles when second over C&D 2 weeks ago, a blunder at the last not helping his cause. Major player from the same mark fitted with cheekpieces.
Turn And Finish (IRE)
Has just the one win over hurdles and continued to struggle for this yard when last seen in the spring.
Amalfina
Fair maiden on the Flat at up to 1½m for Karl Burke. Seemingly being brought along with handicaps in mind in this sphere so she may up her game back from 4 months off. Market useful.
