Timeform View

SAILTHISSHIPALONE has been consistent since joining this yard but finds himself back below last winning mark and this looks a good opportunity back down in grade. You Sexy Thing is lightly raced and is another dropping in grade after a return from a break so could reveal more, while Green Pursuit is only just starting out over this trip and did enough to think it suited last time.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Mandarin Spirit traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts: Upper East has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 3 starts.

Timeform Comments

Sailthisshipalone
Won at Pontefract on reappearance/stable debut in April and produced back-to-back thirds that have worked out pretty well there in July. Below last winning mark now and he's one to take seriously back down in grade after 62 days off.
They All Know Me
Off the mark at Carlisle over 7f on soft ground in May. Good second of 10 there 8 days ago having dropped back to winning mark and holds claims if things drop right (often starts slowly).
Roaring Ralph
Thriving earlier this year with 5 wins from 6 starts, including one at this track, but he has gone off the boil lately. Back down to last winning mark but hard to be too confident about at present.
Barley (IRE)
Ended very long losing run in a handicap at Carlisle 8 days ago. Largely consistent previously this year but now faces a penalty and may be pushing it to think he'll go back-to-back after so long.
Green Pursuit (IRE)
Turned in best effort of season when second of 15 in 1m handicap at Thirsk in August, responding well to the return of cheekpieces and tongue strap. Unexposed at trip so merits respect.
Upper East (IRE)
Showed promise when fourth on debut at Doncaster in June but that may have flattered him and he didn't show much on first outing since leaving Richard Hannon last month. Has since been gelded and now makes handicap debut.
Quiet Resolve (IRE)
Made winning reappearance/stable debut at Hamilton in May and came second of 9 in handicap at same track in August. Best not judged too harshly on recent outing in Leger Legends race at Doncaster 6 days ago, racing freely. Cheekpieces now reapplied.
You Sexy Thing (IRE)
Off the mark at Sandown last August but hasn't won since. Had little racing this year but ran well when fourth of 8 in a handicap over 7f at Ascot 13 days ago and could step up for that return from 12 weeks off dropped in grade and back up to 1m.
Mandarin Spirit (IRE)
Thirsk maiden winner but hasn't kicked on this year and needs to settle a lot better than she has over 1¼m recently. Cheekpieces now reached for back down to 1m.
Starliner (IRE)
Runner-up 4 of 5 starts prior to winning 1m all-weather handicap at Newcastle 12 days ago when dropped in grade. Up 3 lb and has a C&D win to his name but up against a lot younger rivals this time.
Trinculo
Showed fair form for George Baker but failed to improve on handicap debut when last seen in July. Now starts out for a new yard upped to 1m so is a possible improver and is worth watching in the betting.
Mayor Of Maghera
Made most at Musselburgh in June but not kicked on since and more required here.
Penelope's Sister (IRE)
Three-time winner over C&D but not so good this year and may be better off in a lower grade.
