Timeform View

DALLAS STAR is a very classy recruit to hurdling given his Flat ability and having joined an excellent yard, he can provide Amo Racing with a debut winner over obstacles. En Or and Ivatt may offer most resistance.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Dallas Star traded at a low of 36.00 and Betfair SP of 46.00 when losing last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Carrig Padraig (IRE)
Signed off for Martin Fitzgerald with win in bumper at Fairyhouse in October. Broke blood vessel when eighteenth of 19 in novice hurdle at Down Royal (17f, good to soft) on yard/hurdles bow in March but in process of running well (may have won) until falling late on in July. Open to progress.
Crystal Mariner (IRE)
Fairly useful Flat winner (stays 1½m) who had plenty of racing for Jamie Osborne. Fair start to hurdling career when second of 15 at Ballinrobe last month and matched that when occupying same spot at Newton Abbot 12 days ago. Hood goes on.
Dallas Star (FR)
Ran one of season's lesser races when 13¼ lengths last of 6 to Queenstown in Irish St Leger Trial at the Curragh (1¾m, good, 33/1) 28 days ago. Very classy recruit from the level having joined a very successful NH yard.
Ealu Tapa (IRE)
Left debut form behind when winning 13-runner bumper at Ballinrobe (2m) in July. Not quite at that level when fifth on hurdles debut 4 weeks ago but he'll build on that.
En Or (FR)
Fairly useful hurdler, best effort when third in Punchestown maiden in February. No impact in 2 Flat outings over the summer but right back on his game when runner-up back hurdling 12 days ago. Sets the standard.
Fox Walk (IRE)
€38,000 point winner. Showed a fair bit when third of 7 in 21f Sligo novice hurdle last month but not in the same form at Downpatrick after a breathing operation 19 days ago.
Hazem
Limited impact in 4 Flat starts.
Minella Post
Ran to a fair level in maiden hurdles in 2024/25 and having missed the following season was in the process of stepping up on his reappearance when falling heavily 2 out at Cork. Pulled up next time but quickly back on his game when second at Ballinrobe 3 weeks ago.
O'reilly (FR)
Fairly useful winner on the Flat. Placed in 3 maiden hurdles during the autumn and given a considerate ride on reappearance in May. Off again since.
Penny Express (IRE)
Fair maiden hurdler who again ran creditably when third of 14 in maiden at Wexford (17f, good, 3/1) 43 days ago. Tongue tie on and he remains vulnerable to less-exposed sorts.
State Pension (IRE)
Fairly useful bumper winner but hasn't looked too straightforward in that sphere. Hurdles debut.
Undertheinfluence (IRE)
Looks a handicap project on what he's achieved so far.
Ivatt
Fairly useful middle-distance handicapper on Flat. Looked likely to benefit from the experience when 3¾ lengths third of 8 to Louiescall in maiden hurdle at Tramore. Should have more to offer to top yard.
Plus Or Minus (IRE)
Has looked limited in various company.
Granny For Sport (IRE)
Poet's Word mare. Half-sister to fair hurdler/fairly useful chase winner Nelson County. Bred to need time and distance and didn't show a lot at Sligo a month ago.
Our Sara (IRE)
Modest form at best in bumpers.
Down After Dark (IRE)
Wings of Eagles gelding who could hardly have shown any less completed start over hurdles. RESERVE.
Kingston Silver (IRE)
Well held both starts. RESERVE.
Saoirses Choice (IRE)
Little in the way of promise. RESERVE.
