Timeform View

Dan Skelton continues in fine form and his HITINTHEHEADLINES is fancied to take a sizeable step forward now stepped up in trip and make a winning start over hurdles. Stick To The Board looked a good prospect when landing a bumper here in the spring and rates a major danger though, while Great Dance has the form to play a big part too. Fromjago'stomilan and Nimba are other hurdling debutants to consider in a fascinating maiden.

Timeform Comments

Baile An Or (IRE)
Fair form shown in bumpers here and at Exeter on his first two runs before Christmas. Encouraging fourth of 12 in novice at Wincanton (15f, good) on hurdles bow 6 months ago. Should do better, especially now stepping up in trip.
Company Charge
Frontiersman gelding. Unseated rider at the start in first-time cheekpieces in Worcester bumper in September but posted a good third of 6 in similar company at Plumpton (2¼m, good to firm, 15/2) 20 days ago. Makes hurdles debut.
Coolnav (IRE)
Showed temperament in 2 bumpers last summer but placed in points subsequently and runner-up back under Rules in bumper at Wexford (17f, good to soft) in May on final run for Roger McGrath. Possibilities on yard/hurdling bow.
Herbygoesbananas
Fairly useful debut bumper winner. Yet to match that form in this sphere and failed to build on Fontwell reappearance third when a well-held fourth at Worcester later in May. More needed after a break.
Hitintheheadlines (IRE)
Easily won sole Irish point. Fair form shown in a trio of bumpers last season and appeals as the sort to do better now going over hurdles with his stamina drawn out more. This son of Harzand is not without interest with yard going really well.
Minella Blizzard (IRE)
Pulled up sole start in Irish points and showed nothing in novice company over 2m at Uttoxeter and Worcester (cheekpieces) in June. Tongue strap goes on for first time.
Nimba (FR)
Successful in Irish points and made a winning Rules debut in clear-cut fashion in Catterick bumper in November. Very good second in bumper at Fontwell (2¼m, soft) in March (has had breathing operation since) and a likely player now going over hurdles.
Saint Invictus (IRE)
£95,000 buy after finishing runner-up sole start in Irish points. Runner-up in Sandown bumper on Rules debut last November but went freely when well held at Plumpton and Wincanton since. Hurdling debutant.
Stick To The Board (IRE)
Bought for £215,000 after fell last (close up) on sole Irish point start. Evens, scored cosily on Rules debut in 10-runner bumper here in March. Interesting prospect now sent over hurdles.
That's It Paddy (IRE)
Built on debut when fourth of 7 in novice hurdle at Downpatrick (2¾m, good to soft) in August on final run for Ian Donoghue. Not out of things for his new handler.
Orchard County (IRE)
Poet's Word gelding. Dam useful 2½m-3m hurdle/chase winner. Disputing the lead when fell last only start in Irish points in February. Needs considering starting out in this sphere for new yard.
Fromjago'stomilan (IRE)
Made a promising start when second of 13 in bumper at Cork in March for Terence O'Brien. This Milan mare is one to consider on her yard/hurdling bow, especially if the market vibes are positive.
Great Dance (FR)
Fair debut bumper winner. Excellent fourth in listed hurdle at Haydock (21f) in April but failed to land the odds when second of 13 in novice at Warwick (2m, good) following month. This longer trip should suit so she's a likely player.
