How to bet on Special Bets
Betting on Special Bets is simple on the Betfair Exchange. Browse over 32 Special Bets bets, choose a market, such as: Outright Winner; Non sport, and then either match a bet, or set the odds and place a Special Bets bet against others. You can bet for or against an outcome – e.g. if you're betting on BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2026, you can place a lay bet if you think Amy Hunt will lose, or you can place a back bet if you think Amy Hunt will win.
Understanding Special Bets Betting Odds
We show Special Bets betting odds on the Exchange in decimals. Special Bets decimal odds are easy to understand, because they represent the payout you'll get if you win – e.g. 4.6 means you'll receive 46 for every £10 you bet, including your stake, if the bet wins. The Special Bets odds shown in the blue boxes are set by the layers, and the odds shown in the pink boxes are set by the backers. As a Betfair member, you can ask for the Special Bets odds that you want.
